Watermelon Mint Agua Fresca

A chilled, lightly sweet blended drink made from fresh watermelon, mint, and lime juice. Served over ice, it is a bright, hydrating companion to spicy or grilled meals.

Ingredients
- 1 cup cold water
- 1 lime, sliced, for garnish
- 4 mint sprigs, for garnish
- 3 tablespoons fresh lime juice
- 2 cups ice cubes
- 1/4 cup fresh mint leaves
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 6 cups watermelon, cubed and seeded
Steps
- Combine the watermelon cubes, cold water, mint leaves, lime juice, and sugar in a blender.
- Blend on high until completely smooth, about 30 to 45 seconds.
- Taste and adjust sweetness or lime juice as needed, blending briefly to combine.
- Strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve into a pitcher, pressing gently to extract the liquid and discarding the pulp and mint solids.
- Fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the agua fresca over the ice.
- Garnish each glass with a lime slice and a sprig of mint, and serve immediately.
