Toasted Spice Amber Cider Tea

A warm spiced tea built on fresh apple cider, honey, and toasted cinnamon and clove, finished with a splash of lemon for brightness. The amber color and gentle glow echo the warm, earthy light of a quiet outdoor scene.

  1. Toast the whole cloves and cinnamon stick in a dry saucepan over medium heat for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  2. Add water, honey, and grated ginger, and bring to a gentle simmer for 5 minutes.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in the black tea leaves; steep for 4 minutes, then strain into a heatproof pitcher.
  4. Stir in the fresh apple cider and lemon juice until combined.
  5. Pour into a mug or heatproof glass, garnish with a cinnamon stick and a thin apple slice, and serve warm.
