Vodka Paloma

A vodka-based riff on the classic tequila paloma, built with fresh grapefruit and lime juice, a touch of simple syrup, and a splash of soda water for effervescence. Served over ice with an optional salted rim.

Ingredients
- 1 cup ice cubes
- 3 oz fresh grapefruit juice
- 2 oz vodka
- 1 tablespoon coarse salt
- 2 oz soda water
- 1 wedge lime, for garnish
- 1/2 oz fresh lime juice
- 1/2 oz simple syrup
Steps
- If desired, run a lime wedge around the rim of a highball glass and dip the rim in coarse salt.
- Fill the glass with ice cubes.
- Add the vodka, grapefruit juice, lime juice, and simple syrup to the glass.
- Stir well to combine and chill the drink.
- Top with soda water and give it one gentle stir to preserve the bubbles.
- Garnish with a lime wedge and serve immediately.
